Machine Quilting Services

Quilts & Sew Forth offers machine quilting services using a Statler Stitcher® Supreme—a Gammill® Optimum sewing head with computer controls that enable it to stitch virtually any design ( we have many to choose from - most customers leave design choice up to our knowledgeable quilting staff but you can always look at our catalogue upon request and pick your own).

•Make sure your backing is 6" - 8" wider and longer than your top (3" - 4" each side) - this is non-negotiable
•Please iron your top and backing.  If we have to iron you will incur a fee - see below
•Please cut off any loose threads
•Please check for open seems
•If you are supplying your own batting make sure it does not have any creases or folds - batting needs to be same size as backing (6"-8" bigger than top).  If we supply the batting, we cut the width you need and will return your quilt to you untrimmed with all the extra batting and backing.
DO NOT bring backing/batting that is more than  6"-8"  larger than your top - if it is, we will cut it down and you will incur a fee (see below)
• If you have any special blocks (for example a bow tie or something appliquéd that has a loose nature or is raised) we might have to refuse quilting and refer you to a free motion quilter.  These cases will be on an 'as seen' basis.
•Please understand that if a quilt is uneven you may have some pleats in the quilt.  We never set and forget the quilt on the machine.  We are extremely hands on and will watch the quilt every step of the way - doing our best to maintain the integrity of your labor of love.

TURNAROUND TIME (this changes so check back here or call us to get update)
In just roughly 4.5-5 weeks (this time frame may not include time for binding services), we can transform any size quilt top—from a small wallhanging to a king-size quilt—into a treasure to last a lifetime.

Lastly - please remember that we are human and no human can be perfect all the time.  We are also relying on machines that can have hiccups now and then. When you give us your quilt, you acknowledge that this is the case, things don't always turn out 100%, and things may not come back the way you envisioned.  We don't expect your patchwork to be without imperfections so we appreciate the same level of understanding.
